If you want to show how a link would look like, you can use the shortcode within HTML as well, for example:

Remember to use HTML character entities when editing in Text mode, like <

in order to show the actual code that an affiliate has to embed to render the link. You might also want to surround this with <code>
or <pre>
tags on your page, to make it clear that this is HTML code that has to be used.
